The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Arrives with a Diesel Engine

The model offers lower consumption than its gasoline brother, and more towing capacity.

Diesel is not dead (at least in the US). Chevrolet presents the diesel version of the Chevrolet Silverado 2020. The efficiency in consumption is something that, in general, tends to be important for the buyer of pick ups. And GM announced its fuel economy ratings for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Diesel with the 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six.

The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 diesel will spend 10.23 l/100 km in the city, and 7.13 l/100 km on the highway. So you may be interested in the Chevy Silverado 1500 custom led headlights business, they are hot sale aftermarket replacement. These figures are for the front-wheel drive model; cars with four-wheel drive consume the same amount in urban driving, and 8.11 l/100 km.

This is a big improvement when compared to the new 2.7-litre petrol block, which offered higher fuel consumption. Also, the diesel block will have more torque, which is very useful if you want to tow something. It has a power of 277 hp, compared to the 310 hp of the gasoline block.

Of course, the diesel version will not be cheap; the turbodiesel option involves an extra cost of 3,890 US dollars (about 3,491 euros, at real exchange rate).

General Motors has been the last of the big Detroit automakers to offer diesel options on its pickups.
